She plopped down on her bed and stared up at the ceiling. The room was empty with the exception of a couple of suitcases and her mattress. She had to unwillingly release all of her belongings and fit what she could into the suitcases. It was never easy starting over, but she had to. She couldn’t afford not to. She wasn’t even sure of what all she had given up in order to start over. There may have been something valuable mixed in with the things she had given up. It didn’t matter now, though. It hurt her to let it go, but now she’d have to learn to live without it. She’d have to learn to live. Rebuild.
