The rhythmic drums and singing did nothing to quell her restlessness but moved her in a different direction. The chorus of feminine voices from all walks of life calling out to the mother of them all brought her to her feet and lifted her eyes upwards to feel the warmth of the sun. Now was the time to allow it to take over her. She thrust herself forward so that the tips of her fingers touched her toes and her braids fell into her face, symbolically throwing away the frustrations of the day before, then she snaked her way back up and straightened her posture. The joy in the singing was infectious, infiltrating her and propelling her to greater decisions.
